Privacy & Purchase Terms

Plain English summary:We use what you tell us in the quiz to generate your result and, if you buy the full report, your email to send it to you and a receipt. We don't see your card details, Stripe handles that directly. We don't sell your data, and we only email you again if you've said yes to that separately.

What we collect

This page is a separate product from the Pekanga school platform, used by adults rather than students, so what we collect and why is different. When you use the AI Career Risk Check, we collect:

—The job title, industry, and answers you give in the quiz
—Your email address, if you choose to buy the full report, so we can send it to you
—A record of your purchase (date, amount, product), if you buy the full report
—Basic technical data needed to serve the page, such as browser type and approximate location

We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor, on their own secure checkout.

Why we use it

Your quiz answers are used to generate your free result and, if purchased, your full report. Your email is used to deliver that report and send you a receipt. We only use your email for anything beyond that, such as occasional career tips or offers, if you've explicitly opted in at checkout. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Our legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following bases:

—Contract — generating and delivering the report you've paid for, and handling your purchase
—Consent — sending you anything beyond your report and receipt, such as marketing emails
—Legitimate interests — basic site security and understanding how the page is used, so we can improve it

Who we share your information with

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run this product:

How long we keep data

Cookies

This page currently uses only essential cookies required for it to function. If we add analytics cookies in future, we'll ask your permission first via a consent banner before placing them.

AI and automated processing

Your report is generated using AI analysis of your quiz answers against public labour market and salary data. This is a functional process to give you information, not a profile or decision about you as a person, and it doesn't have any legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Your report is general guidance for information purposes only. It is not regulated financial or careers advice, and it doesn't replace speaking with a qualified adviser before making a major decision.

Your purchase, cancellation, and refunds

Your full report is digital content delivered to you immediately after payment. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you'd normally have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase, but that right doesn't apply once digital content has started being delivered, provided you've agreed to that at checkout. That's what the checkbox at the point of purchase confirms, so please read it before buying.

If something goes wrong on our end, for example you pay but never receive your report, contact us and we'll either resend it or give you a full refund. Because the report is generated and delivered instantly, we don't offer refunds simply for changing your mind after delivery, but get in touch if there's a genuine problem and we'll look at it fairly.

Your rights

Right of access

You can ask to see what personal data we hold about you.

Right to erasure

You can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to our legal duty to keep purchase records.

Right to rectification

You can ask us to correct inaccurate data we hold about you.

Right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw marketing consent at any time.

Right to portability

You can ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

Right to restrict

You can ask us to restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances.

Age

The AI Career Risk Check is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you're under 18, please don't make a purchase. If you're a student under 18 looking for career guidance, the main Pekanga platform, provided through your school, is the right place for you.
